So many things are involved in this process and we want it to look great before we show you!
{soon...very soon}

I also have so much to tell about our new home in this far away land~ I'm just not sure I'm ready for that post. Things are so different~ life is good here~ just a completely different world! I will share so much soon...just don't know where to start.

I have some favorite previous post to share this week...and some exciting new things to announce...and then the launch of the new blog and The Savvy Store! So stay tuned~

Here are some favorite images of how fellow photographers decorate their walls.

These are from the sweet Rachel Clare~

Meet {and greet} Kristin Brown

Meet {and greet} Kristin Brown, a San Diego, California photographer.
Describe your style?
Fresh, fun, and full of emotion.
How long how you been a photographer?
I just passed my first year of being in business so I'm fairly new to the industry.
When you’re not photographing, where can we find you?
On the computer editing or out in the front yard with my kiddos. Or cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, and many of the other things that being an mom requires.
What do you display...
gallery wrapped canvases? framed portraits?
Canvases are the main thing I display in my home. I love them with a passion!
What's your favorite product that you offer?
Well my favorite product is probably the 3x3 mini accordion album. I don't sell it, but gift it with order's that meet a certain amount. People LOVE them!
What's the biggest size image you have displayed in your home?
A 30x40 canvas
Where do you photograph?
{clients homes? studio?}
Mainly the beach for family/maternity sessions or my client's homes for newborn sessions.
Do you proof online or in person?
I am trying to switch over to all in person, but with 3 little ones it is hard to always find the time to do this.
So I do a little of both right now.
What's Your... Savvy Indulgence?
Starbucks Venti Iced Coffee with vanilla syrup and cream!
favorite thing in your closet?
my flip-flops for sure, all 20ish pairs of them
favorite thing in your camera bag?
my 24-70L lens
Nikon or Canon? What camera do you use?
I am a Canon girl and currently shoot with the 5dii
Weakness in this business?
I majored in business, but I am a terrible bookkeeper! I am going to try to be more organized this year. My husband laughed at me when I told him that so that gives you an idea of how organized I normally am.
Do you Twitter? Facebook?
I Facebook way more than I Twitter, but I do have both.
Are there any books that have inspired you {or helped you} in your business?
Anne Geddes book's of newborn photography are incredibly inspiring to me.
Tell us about you...Married? How long?
How many children?
I've been married for 8 1/2 years to the guy I met back when I was in high school; he was my soccer coach. That is a story for another day though. ;) We have three kids ages 6, 4, and almost 2 (we call him the destroyer).
What are doing on a typical Friday night...
date night or family night?
Either barbequing with friends or hanging out with the family.
How do you manage to balance having a career
and being a full time mom?
Coffee!
In all seriousness, I am just starting to find that balance. I still have a long way to go, but I'm working on it.
Favorite family ritual?
Bedtime prayers. . .my kids come up with some of the sweetest and funniest things when praying .
If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?
I always wanted to run my own ranch with a ton of horses.
Tell us your proudest moment of your career…
I would say the emails I get from client's and other people who have told me I have brought them to tears with my pictures.
That is always SO rewarding and makes me realize what an amazing job I have.

Thank you Kristin! I still can't believe you have only been in business a year! Your images show that you have truly found your calling. {the horses can wait..} You are an amazing photographer!

Tomorrow...we will get to see what's gracing the walls in Kristins home! And more fabulous images from her portfolio!
