and the winner is...

Congratulations to comment number 199~ Jennifer Rutledge...you are the lucky winner of the Addy Lane Vintage Tea actions!

For those who didn't win~ Christy from Addy Lane is offering all Savvy readers 20% off the vintage tea actions for the next 48 hours...use the code SAVVY20. The code expires Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at noon.

We had fun yesterday baking something yummy and I was so excited to use the Addy Lane actions on these images~ love them!

The next images are using the painted green barnwood rug as a backdrop. I just got the rug in the mail and I will admit, I was disappointed when I opened it. I wanted to use it in my daughters room~ the color is not what I expected. It is not the green that matches her room, but it does photograph great! The colors turn out much better in images and it looks so much better in a picture. I love the barnwood rugs and the whitewood rugs in my home {very beachy feel}...the green is much better just for photographing. Here's some quick pics.

The link to purchase the flooring is here.

it's a giveaway!!

About Addy Lane:
After allowing my heart to take me
on a journey to discover what I was truly inspired to shoot, I slowly discovered that editing and creating actions are a large part of what made me giddy about picking up my camera.
I had a collection of actions in my arsenal, but each of those required a lot of
adjustments after they were run to achieve the look I desired.
So I began from scratch and created my own actions which offered me the ease of being able to run them and be satisfied with the result with little or no adjustments at all, or to be able to make common adjustments
right within the actions layers.
Over time, I began to receive more and more inquiries from other photographers from my blog readers and forums I belonged
to regarding my processing.
It was then that Addy Lane was born.
My actions are all inspired by things
that move me artistically.
My first set, the Vintage Tea Tones, are all actions I use in my everyday
processing from newborns and children
to urban and grungy to macro flowers and obscure things that I shoot just for me.
I have always been drawn to a number of different editing styles
and for a long time had trouble nailing down one I could call my own,
but after fighting it for about 3 years I finally decided to just go with it!
This allowed me to focus on creating a series of actions that are so versatile
that they can be used to a variety of shooting and editing styles.
They were truly created with the artist
in mind and designed to be run
as is on both sooc and processed images
allowing you to create freely.
They can be used for just a subtle clean lift in color, or taken to the extreme.
Some of the actions are also set up to be customized to run according to the users style, and include complete instructions and tutorial.
The Addy Lane journal features a Postcard
from Friends series where other photographers who are using my actions are featured
with a brief interview about their work and
what inspires them as artists.
This is a great way to explore the versatility of the actions.
The response to the Vintage Tea tones has been phenomenal,
and I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to share them with Savvy fans!
