love the...

Oh my...the clothes are so cute right now at Target. Yesterday we shopped...and shopped. Having a 5 year old girl makes passing up the cute clothes there nearly impossible. And the boys clothes are just as irresistible...do you see the green shirt above? Don't tell my daughter but I bought it for her...in the boys department. It looks adorable with the pink converse shoes and shorts (bought both of those)...and she wore it last night with the white skirt (yep, bought it too...with a pink tank under the green gingham shirt).
Have you had your Target fix lately?

love the Calypso ~ St. Barth line at Target

You all know how much I miss Target...seriously miss it! Whenever someone here talks about going back home to visit the states, the first thing we say is..."lucky you..you'll get to go to Target!" I don't know why they don't have Target here in Japan! We must feed our addiction online and I was so pleased today to log on and see they have the Calypso brand at Target! It might be old news to most of you...you probably have already seen it in the store...but I haven't! I filled my shopping cart with some goodies {the adorable dresses and the white elephant}....now I just have to wait for them to arrive. Here's a little eye candy of the yummy St. Barth line...

{Shabby~ Savvy~ Saturday}

In case you are feeling like you need a bedroom makeover for Spring, I thought I would give you an inspiration board from my favorite place when you are decorating on a budget. You can makeover your bedroom for under $700...

Everything is from Target and it's all the Rachel Ashwell line {i just love her things} and if you need a visual guide to help you decorate, her books will do exactly that! The under $700 makeover includes everything but the bed...and if you have a bed that you don't love, paint it white. The total cost for the Target items is $630, that leaves you with money for paint.

And for those who love color...
Target is now carrying Liberty of London! Check out the fun things they offer...at yes...at Target!

{can't get enough of Imaging...can we?}

Where did I get everything? I don't mind all the questions...and I also don't mind sharing where it came from.

Most of the furniture came from Target ...love that place! I ordered the white desk from Target online...also the vintage pink phone came from there. If you saw the booth, then you had a chance to see the small white bookshelves. They were also a Target online find that were on sale...i don't think they have anymore. The round white table was found at Target in Nashville. We also picked up the green chairs and pink pillows there too! Gotta love
Target
!!

Most of the fun accessories came from Marshalls and TJMaxx. Many of the frames in the booth were from there and also the flowers...a fun way to add a little color!
The pink knobs on the desk drawers were from Anthropologie. They have so many great knobs to dress up any peice of furniture!

The mounted print on the easel is from our Savvy Canvas Collection...we printed it on a mounted 16x24 to show they aren't just for canvases. Here's the link to those...Savvy Canvas Collection

The most popular part of the booth was the floor! We are selling the "barnwood floor" rug here at The Savvy Photographer blog.

***the link to the rugs has removed until we can catch up with our current orders! We hope to have it back up soon! thanks for your patience.

Here's the link to find the Pepper Camera straps and to join the fabulous forum started by Lori Nordstrom, Photo Talk Forum.

I love how they displayed color and sepia prints together...

What to wear on a budget

{we'd rather them spend money on their portraits, right?}

I'm a fan of Target...and I'm not embarrassed of it! I even see celebrities kids wearing the cute Target dresses that I snag up for my little daughter.
They have cute stuff...and yes...everything here is from
Target ...
gotta love it!

{what to wear}

Need a little inspiration in the "what do we wear" department?

I always get clients asking for advice on what would look good for a family portrait...i love showing them what I think would make the picture really stand out and be fun. My client just booked a session for her five kids...and needed ideas {that wouldn't blow her picture budget} and here's what I sent her...from Target . The kids will coordinate...not all match...but coordinate {key word here}...

I also had several readers ask about the dresses my little girl wore for the images at Perry Cabin. Here's the info on those...the brown dress is from Matilda Jane...love those dresses! i love all the clothing from there. The cream colored shirt under the dress...and the pink polka dot dress and pink paisley dress were both from Target. In some of the pictures, she insisted on wearing the two dresses together...I gave in and let her...it worked {maybe} and I'll always remember that she chose it. And the boots...can't forget the boots...Target also...aren't they so cute! She loves boots...the first day of preschool she looked so cute in her brown corduroy dress {pictured above} and her brown boots. I chose the outfit and she loved it...then her new teacher said "how cute...she must have dressed herself !"... i had no response.

Have a great Sunday...it's raining here...great day to be lazy!

{designing your workspace~ on a budget}

As promised last week, here are workspace ideas to inspire everyone!

And did I mention we are working with a budget~ these rooms aren't from some fancy place either...it's Target...yes Target! I know what you're saying...you can get wallpaper from Target? yes...you can...! How fun would it be to have one wall graced with these beautiuful papers...what a fun backdrop for pictures! If I had the space, I would take 5 large panels of plywood and cover each with a different fun paper {i love the turquoise and brown damask...ok...i love them all}. And they would be my backdrops for babies...can't you see a little naked baby sitting up in front of one of these beautiful papers...how cute!

I LOVE all the chairs! Which is you favorite? mine is the turquoise...no the orange floral...or the canary green floral...hmmm...maybe the chocolate brown with pink flowers...I'll take them all! Most are under $300...with free shipping!

I'd love to see some of the frame decals on my wall...how fun in a bathroom with your black and white images!

And it all came from Target online!

Thirsty for more...head to Target online {most things aren't available at the store}. Make your workspace inspiring! Then send us a picture...we'd love to show it!
